My Blog Stats for 2015!

Hey guys! Girls, too! But...that is how the saying usually goes, right? I didn't mean to just greet the males who read my blog...I meant...I mean, I know there are females who read this blog too, but...oh, you know what I mean…

So! Remember that post about my reading stats for 2015? Well, here are my blog stats for 2015, I meant to do this earlier, but procrastination....

So I guess I'll start with a list of sorts...?

Mintvine

Hello dear readers!

This...is a strange kind of post...I say strange because I'll be introducing to you...not a book, but this site that I've been making money from.  And by money, I mean Amazon giftcards.

Now, before you lovely readers all start running away shouting, "FAKE!"...well...if you were going to run from me, you would have already done so...huh?

Aaanyways...I'll just start my little post now, and heh, it's your lost of you decide it's fake and move on....

So, a while ago...I had this phase where I was obsessed with online survey sites and earning money from them.  When I was just a kid, (okay, fine...it wasn't that long ago), my mom would give me these surveys to do because she was too lazy to do them.  Those surveys would earn her airmiles, or points that would convert to airmiles.  After doing a few of them, I decided that I was tired of earning points for my mom*.  I wanted to earn my own.

*I'd always be yelling, "Mama, what's our annual household income?!  Mama, what's a carbonated drink?  Do we have those?  Do we drink them?  How many times a week do we drink them?  Do we have special kinds?  How much are you willing to pay for them?  When was the last time you bought them?  What method of payment did you use, and why?  Which one is your favourite?  Least favourite?  What year was Daddy born?  Does he have a bad health?  What's your health history like...?"  It would go on and on, and on and on...until she got so tired of it...hee hee!

The Story Of How I Came To Hate Light Bulbs

Hey peoples...I've been having a really bad day...also, I've discovered a newfound hatred for light bulbs, especially shattered ones on stages.

WARNING: long post coming your way

So...for those of you who don't know, I dance...I specialize in Chinese Dance (extra lessons on weekends, and the tuition could easily reach a few thousand dollars), but because I love dance so much, I'm taking a senior dance course in school as well, I'm also involved in a dance club...yay me...

Songs and Their Meanings...

Hello peoples!  So...being the average sixteen year old girl I am, I listen to music.  Well, I don't listen to music from my phone or ipod...no earbuds for me...apparently they're bad for my ears.  These ears of mine have to last me my whole life.

Here's a little fact for you...or a few pieces of facts...did you know that you have this organ in your ear called the cochlea?  And in this cochlea, you have thousands of hair cells (neural receptors) that detect sound and convey them to your brain?  Without these very important hair cells to convey sounds to electrical signals, you CAN'T hear.

And here's the best part, ready?

These hair cells do NOT regenerate.  Meaning: you damage them, and they're never going to magically revive themselves...they won't go though mitosis and grow again.  They won't.

These hair cells are so easy to damage.  Too easy...they can be damaged by loud explosions, or continuous exposure to loud sounds.  Allow me to list some examples for you...
  • playing in a band
  • attending loud concerts
  • lawnmowers
  • and let's not forget the most important one:  listening to music through earbuds or headphones for extended periods of time...
Case in point: can we keep it down, please?  I'm terribly afraid of loud noises (okay, so I jump at loud sneezes, and I know, believe me, I KNOW, it's unfair to ask people to sneeze quieter), and it would be so nice to not be jumping at every loud sound...but of course, that's too much to ask, isn't?

...so assuming I live a long life (I'm hoping for at least 80?) I want to take good care of them.  But, even though I may not constantly have earbuds plugged in my ear, I do however, love listening to the radio...

I Am With Child...?

Soooo, this is one of those late posts I've been meaning to write...way back in June?

I'm hoping for this to be a fairly short post, because, well...I need to go back to nurturing my to-be child?

A few months ago, I was struck with wonderful inspiration, and proceeded to take advantage of it as much as possible.  A few months later...I had given life!  And became a parent!

I was super duper proud of how it turned out, but I definitely had second thoughts while incubating my precious...I kept thinking, what if they don't like it?  What if I've made a mistake?

My Most Memorable Summer in the History of Memorable Summers.... (part 2: August)

Hello again humans!  As promised, here's part 2 of what happened in one of the most memorable and magical summers I've ever had to this date.  If you missed part 1, I have been so kind and included a link right here: My Most Memorable Summer in the History of Memorable Summers.... (part 1: July)

This will be quite a long post.  YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

AUGUST:

The day had finally come, the day of my dreaded PIANO EXAMINATION.  I'm not going to lie, I was petrified, no.  Beyond petrified, and the solemnness and dead silence of the building did.  Not.  Help.  At all.

Math and Me

Something you should know before you continue reading the rest of this post:  I hate math.  I hate it to a degree that were my hatred a fire, it would burn bright and mighty.  It would burn all things math.  I hate it to a degree that I can't even find words strong enough to describe my hatred, but you probably already knew that if you read my About Me section.  :)

Coffee House

Hello again people!
Today, I did something very, very strange, and I'm not exactly sure why I did it.
I recited two poems I wrote at my school's annual coffee house.  And they were two really, really long ones.  Like ridiculously long ones.
While I recited my poem, my hands were shaking so much, even though I kept telling myself I wasn't nervous, my hands just wouldn't listen.  Gah!  Stupid good for nothing hands!

While I was waiting for my turn, I was so nervous, and at times, had trouble breathing.

If I wasn't doing what the guy above me is doing,
I'd be doing what this girl is doing

Altogether, the waiting and the anticipation was not at all pleasant.

But!  When I finished, I felt so proud of myself, I managed to do it without humiliating myself in front of a bunch of people.  Although, I seriously hope I didn't bore people too much.
I deserve pats on the shoulder, just like that :)
Yes, very well said...I couldn't put it any better myself.

Um, I overdid it with the GIFs, didn't I?  Ah well, it's better than just plain old texts, am I right, or am I right?
