Something Lost....

*sigh*

I'm never going to catch up on my posts, am I?

Anyways....this happened...a few weeks before the Christmas break...which should be about a week before Christmas!

So...a few weeks before the Christmas break, we had our dance shows!  I was in so many dances...once I got off stage, I had to rush the wings where I'd rip off my clothes and all other accessories (hairbands/clips/ribbons, shoes, necklaces, bracelets, etc....) so that I could make it in time to perform in the next dance I was in.  It was all terribly rushed.

That was all fun, of course.  Even though I was always afraid I'd mess/mix up my choreographies or costumes...or not get on stage on time, or you know....STEP ON A FALLEN LIGHT BULB LIKE I DID LAST YEAR.

ANYWAYS!

What on to what this post is SUPPOSED to be about.

I lost something.

I've Procrastinated, I know....

Hello peoples.

Yes, yes, I know....I've been extremely inactive (no, not the physical kind, because I've got that covered with nine dance classes a week), and I've been procrastinating and procrastinating and pocrastinating.

I'm tempted to make excuses like, I have homework, I have extracurricular, I have....Gilf. BUT. If I really wanted to, I definitely could have spent some time typing out stuff....

Anyways!

So. Starting TODAY, I will make more of an effort to post stuff....really! You see, I have a free block in school now! And I've finished everything I can do, and Gilf is too busy to talk to me....so! Time to type stuff.
*ugh, these keys are so uncomfortable to type out, and they're making my finglets sore!

Now, even though I have a bunch of posts I still owe you, I want to get a particular one out of the way first.  I had this idea one day while I was sitting on the toilet. Yes. Don't think about it too long.

Choreographing A Dance (read: some dance stuff plus complaints)

Hello peoples!

So!  The week of dance performances is over!

*I really need to catch up on posts...always behind...*sigh*

After five shows, I'm exhausted.  And because these shows happened during school time...I've missed many of my classes.  I missed biology!  One of my FAVOURITE CLASSES!  Twice!  I missed french....twice...eh.  And a CS block and a dance block.

Aaaaanyways.

...Valentine's Day....

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo...Valentine's Day happened peoples!

Roses!  Hearts!  Chocolates!  All that good stuff!

Now, I was going to post this AFTER I posted the post introducing you to this special guy...buuuuut, oh wells!  You'll just have to read along and hope I've told you enough to understand the intense passion I put into writing this.  Tee hee!

*or...you could just NOT read this and wait for the other post to come out first...but...who knows how long that'll take me.  Heh, your call.
**also keep in mind that I had originally planned to post this the day BEFORE Valentine's Day...or at the very least, ON Valentine's Day...but life had other plans for me...so I may have mixed up some tenses....

The Story Of How I Came To Hate Light Bulbs

Hey peoples...I've been having a really bad day...also, I've discovered a newfound hatred for light bulbs, especially shattered ones on stages.

WARNING: long post coming your way

So...for those of you who don't know, I dance...I specialize in Chinese Dance (extra lessons on weekends, and the tuition could easily reach a few thousand dollars), but because I love dance so much, I'm taking a senior dance course in school as well, I'm also involved in a dance club...yay me...

Songs and Their Meanings...

Hello peoples!  So...being the average sixteen year old girl I am, I listen to music.  Well, I don't listen to music from my phone or ipod...no earbuds for me...apparently they're bad for my ears.  These ears of mine have to last me my whole life.

Here's a little fact for you...or a few pieces of facts...did you know that you have this organ in your ear called the cochlea?  And in this cochlea, you have thousands of hair cells (neural receptors) that detect sound and convey them to your brain?  Without these very important hair cells to convey sounds to electrical signals, you CAN'T hear.

And here's the best part, ready?

These hair cells do NOT regenerate.  Meaning: you damage them, and they're never going to magically revive themselves...they won't go though mitosis and grow again.  They won't.

These hair cells are so easy to damage.  Too easy...they can be damaged by loud explosions, or continuous exposure to loud sounds.  Allow me to list some examples for you...
  • playing in a band
  • attending loud concerts
  • lawnmowers
  • and let's not forget the most important one:  listening to music through earbuds or headphones for extended periods of time...
Case in point: can we keep it down, please?  I'm terribly afraid of loud noises (okay, so I jump at loud sneezes, and I know, believe me, I KNOW, it's unfair to ask people to sneeze quieter), and it would be so nice to not be jumping at every loud sound...but of course, that's too much to ask, isn't?

...so assuming I live a long life (I'm hoping for at least 80?) I want to take good care of them.  But, even though I may not constantly have earbuds plugged in my ear, I do however, love listening to the radio...
